Step - 2

Be sure that your boxer is checked regularly by the veterinarian. By taking your dog to the vet you can have confirmed that your boxer is healthy, which is important. Your boxer should be x-ray tested for hip dysplasia and should get thyroid tests, get complete immunizations, and acquire heart health certification from the veterinary's board of cardiologists.

Step - 3

Be sure that the female boxer you choose is a good companion for the boxer you have.If you choose to use your female boxer for breeding, be sure to find a healthy male boxer that will have a good reputation and temperament. You will often find that male boxers, also known as studs, will be used by other breeders when breeding boxers if he has a good reputation. It will cost about $800 to $1000 for a stud for your female boxer. Because you have to pay so much the boxer should be confident and in good health. He can't be aggressive and he must also look good.

Before getting started you should determine the amount you are willing to spend to keep your boxer healthy. You will need to be sure that when you are breeding a female boxer you make frequent and regular vet visits, most importantly when the delivery date is nearing.A visit that is a nomal check-up will typically cost about $40 to $50.It is also important to estimate a cost for care of the puppies. Ears cropped and tails docked is something the puppies will need to have done eventually.This can cost you $500 or even more for each puppy.

Step - 5

Do not forget to register your boxer puppies with America Kennel Club (AKC) so that they will be official boxers. You will need to have with you the health records and AKC certificate when you are selling your boxer puppies. If your adult boxer is not yet AKC registered, then you need to do so before selling the boxer puppies.

Two poodles and a boxer a good mix?

After having a heated discussion with my husband, we are not getting a third poodle but an eight week old AKC registered boxer puppy.Poodles are seven months old and our thought is that they can all grow up together. Are poodles and a female boxer a good mix?

Sure! As long as they are all well trained and socialized, there should be no issues. Boxers are wonderful dogs. However, unless you want Poodle-Boxer puppies, get them spayed or neutered!
