What is the best Dog Training method ?
"First learned is best learned." This is the law of "primacy" and is critical for teaching anyone or anything how to do anything. When it comes to dog training the law of primacy is critical because if you or your trainer is teaching or correcting something in the manner it will complicate the rest of your pet's learning ability and can sometimes stop it all together. So do your research well before starting or if you need to retrain an adopted pet that has had a previous owner.
If you are looking for a dog training book, video, or some other do it yourself material... Good For You! You are going to make the bond between you and your pooch much stronger and have a lot of fun doing it!
Before you train your pet yourself Please go with a pr oven method that covers all of the possible challenges, tricks, and problems that you might encounter throughout your dogs life so that you can pull the training material back out and apply where needed.
What is the best dog training method? Any method you can find that covers the following areas. I also have a blog on the subject here with some ideas and links.
- Controlling aggressive behavior towards other people
- Controlling aggressive behavior towards other dogs (totally different)
- House Training of course;)
- Racing out the front door at every chance!
- Managing the "Alpha Dog" attitude
- Separation anxiety (for dog and owner!)
- Jumping up on people
- Constant barking
- "dog whispering" No joke, this is powerful, humane, and effective!
- Other animals in the house (dogs, cats, rabbits, etc...)
- Eating their own... waste
- Walking with a leash
- Digging up the yard
- Female dogs in heat
- How to detect illness and injury
I'm sure you can think of a few more but those are the biggies and if you can find a method that can handle all of this then it is sure to have a good base technique that can be applied to just about anything you or your dog can throw at each other.
So sharpen up on your Google skills and keep this list handy! Any questions catch me through my blog!

I who care about the dog not only make a quick purchase dogs pulling ball together. Perhaps anyone with a large golden retriever knows a good reputable breeder possible near King of Prussia area? I also want excellent temperament and maybe the dogs are from champion bloodlines Thanks! best answer 10 points! also how to cure separation anxiety?
You do not really need to teach a Golden Retriever to fetch. They are born ready, willing and able to play. Chances are that the puppy will teach you! LOL! But if you have a mutant de Oro, here goes: Show the dog the ball. "Tease" he Or her of it. Want to get the puppy to the ball in his hand. Throw the ball at close range and praise the dog for it to go. When the dog catches the ball, go crazy. Call your name in a shrill voice, caressing her legs, and jump up and down. Tell her what a good dog it is and keep bringing the ball to persuade. If the dog drops the ball, stop all the accolades. Go for it and try again. Keep lessons short, while the puppy is learning. Tracks 1-2 and then quit. Most likely however, the gold will look until his arm falls off. Actually, there is little in this world that goldens love doing more than playing search.
