a few questions about finding a breeder?

I am looking for a reputable boxer breeder in IL, IN, IA, WI and I am currently I was looking at akc.org have questions about this: http://www.akc.org/classified/search/index.cfm go on that link (hopefully it works page) and tell me-the box gray box on the side of the page ... are all supposed to be YES's? or is it only should have 1 for YES the whole thing? means this puppy a lot with my sister. which means I need to make sure this puppy is healthy for life. This puppy is an important thing in my life. mine to ... but it is HIS puppy. Our boxer mix and our Dane my dog. She is now old enough for her own pup and I want it to be a great experience for him. so finding a healthy puppy (although I have to wait a while) is a top priority goal so any tips you have for big Breeders in the Midwest United States is greatly appreciated

This is a great place to start: Here is a list of regional clubs from the American Boxer site Club. Find a club near you (there will be more than one), go to that site, and they usually list their members who have websites. Or you can call or e-mail to club members listed to ask about the breeder referral. http://www.americanboxerclub.org/us-boxer-clubs.html Someone I know recently had great luck finding a puppy by attending a dog show near him. After backing out of a BYB deal she sets out to find a GOOD puppy - simply by asking the show he gave the names of two breeders who had puppies at the time. I'm really not sure about the AKC classified ads .... the only one that I could see in your area looked OK to me - there is only one "no" and it is for being a member in a regional club I think. But no matter what's not and yes, still you should ask about all the health testing done on parents and what points are. I still browsing the site for you .... Here's a good one that I've heard before, said they are planning a breeding in late fall / early winter. http://www.jenburboxers.com/home.html It would be a good idea to call and get on a waiting list as possible - Sometimes you have to wait for good pups. Just make sure you call the "cancel" all of it when you finally find your pup:) Just look at the breeder's website, the one you mentioned .... parents are health tested ... champions ... looks like a good one to me =) Another tip: Tell your friends to join this site. http://www.boxerworld.com/ It is the greatest fighter in the web resources, overflowing with informative articles and discussion forums. Every boxer-related topic imaginable is covered here. BW is a tremendous help in raising my pup since I joined over a year ago. The advice and support from the community is essential. I'd even say that participation in the BW is the best thing I've ever done for my dog. I highly recommend it for new puppy owners!
