I agree in a some extent with the first answer. Check different sites, people, etc. and get some advice. Sign up for a training course if you like ..... However, the most important thing .. Again, the most important thing is to spend time with your dog! The bond between a dog and his master is the thing the most important because it lays the foundation for good communication, where you learn the limits of your dog and how he / she learns best, and your dog happens to you know, and what you ask of him. The more time you spend with your dog, and more interaction you have, the more eager for your dog will be yours please. They are social animals and need interaction to develop mentally and emotionally. Just an example, my mother was a purebred shepherd who was so well trained that she stopped in the street and wait for my mother before attempting to cross the street, and my mother never taken a class. Another good source for any race is the book "Dog Training for Dummies" ~ it is written by people who have formed many many dogs, and they know their stuff!
