using dogs for hunting wild hogs?
I'm wanting to train my Pit Bulls to hunt hogs, never done anything like that before does anyone on here use dogs for hunting hogs? if so any help would be appreciated.
Also i live in Kansas are their wild hogs in Kansas? I know there is in Oklahoma but just wondering, any websites would be appreciated.
I've watched some videos of dogs hunting hogs, they did fine. it will be a pack of dogs not just one.
no i guess it obvious you cant read, they will be trained and there will be a pack, and the hogs we are going for aren't that big.

Pits have been used to hunt hogs for over 100 years
However they will get hurt
Part of your kit will include suturing kits and wound staplers and also body armor
Get used to that now
Hogs are rarely hunted with packs of Pits
You have chase dogs which are usually some sort of cur that brings the hog to bay and run in a pack of four or so
and catch dogs which will be one or two pits
The best way to train your dogs is to find some one else that hunts and let your dogs run with them
It is their natural instinct to catch all they need is someone to show them how
And definitely start them off catching smaller hogs
